Multiple Artists Picture Book Gallery of the Reader Collection of Japanese Flower-and-Bird Art

The eight pictures of flowers and (or) birds shown in this gallery were drawn by artists who were active in the late 1800s. Click on a picture to enlarge it. The pictures were included in a book entitled Miyako No Nishiki (i.e., Brocade of the Capital) which was edited by Jihee Tanaka and published in 1891.
